Weekend getaway!

Last week was my spring break and Easter weekend. What a beautiful week it was!  I got to stay home with my sweet girls (my mom took a well-deserved trip to Florida!), see some friends, and we got to visit family for a four day Easter weekend.  I was a little nervous about taking care of the girls all on my own at first, but I quickly realized I could handle it.  I got a little taste of what my mom does every day.  They were little angels.  So much so, that we even made a trip to Target and had a lunch date with some friends.

On Thursday, we left in the afternoon on our first LONG car ride and headed up to Rice Lake to see Brett's family.  It had been about 9 months since we were there last, due to my bed rest and the girls not being able to travel, so it was nice to finally get up there again.  The car rides, both there and back, were successful!  We only stopped once to feed the girls and they pretty much slept the rest of the time.  It was really nice.  I'm sure car rides won't always go so smoothly, but we will take what we can get for now!

Instead of writing a long paragraph (or two) about our weekend in Rice Lake, I will post pictures and show you.  We are so blessed to have such a great family.  Everyone was so helpful with the girls, especially Brenda, who got up to help us in the middle of the night.  We are looking forward to our next visit!
